Originally from Loughborough, Katherine is a second-generation folk musician brought up on ceilidhs and folk clubs. As a fiddle player she has been performing from an early age, and has gradually added other instruments to her collection including flute, whistles, alto and soprano saxophones, Irish-style guitar and vocals.

Outside of the folk scene, Katherine has been studying classical music from childhood, completing a degree in Music at Sheffield University in 2010, performing on both flute and violin as a soloist as well as in orchestras and ensembles.

Katherine regularly performs with several bands based up and down the country including The QP, a folk-fusion band from Sheffield - winners of the Spiral Earth Awards 2010 'Best Debut', and regular performers on the Folk Festival scene.They are currently recording a second album to be released early 2012.

Alex has been a performer of English and Irish folk music for many years predominantly playing fiddle and guitar, as well as bouzouki, banjo and vocals.

Alex is often on tour in his role as the English quarter of celtic tune maestros The Long Notes, which features some of the best players from Ireland, England and Scotland. In 2011 this has included a tour of Austria, two tours of the UK as well as other gigs in Italy and Switzerland. Their new CD 'In the Shadow of Stromboli' is scheduled for release at the O2 in Glasgow as part of the Celtic Connections festival in January 2012.
