About Katherine:

Katherine is, by training, a classical violinist, though she also plays the flute, whistle, and alto and soprano saxophones. Originally from Loughborough, she is now based up north, completing her final year of studying classical music at Sheffield University. She has played gigs all over Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire and even made it as far as Domont, as well as appearing in several other local bands from time to time.

In Sheffield, she plays in a variety of things from scratch bands, to the University Symphony Orchestra, to pit bands for musicals, as well as having played in a semi-professional string quartet at the University. Katherine currently works alongside her studies as an instrumental teacher for Sheffield Music Service.

In her spare time, Katherine is also a keen dancer - dancing North West Morris, Cotswold Morris and Rapper. She is a member of Mortimer's Morris (Nottingham), Pecsaetan Morris and Triskele Sword (Sheffield), and Rapper Rascals (York). She also plays for Stone Monkey, a men's rapper team (Derby).
